CCC Chili Miners story with KU connection

As some of you may know, our Campus Crusade for Christ international partnership was with Chili for many years. About two years ago we were able to pass the ministry over to local Chileans who were raised up through our ministry! The world watched the past week as these Chili miners were rescued. Here is a CNN story about the Campus Crusade - Jesus Film t-shirts they were wearing when they were rescued. Copy & paste the link below to your browser to read the story.

iEmpathize Walk/Run 5k

Towards the end of April Cru hosted a 5k Walk/Run on campus at KU. Our Community Outreach team did a great job organizing, planning, and recruiting for the event to make it a huge success and raise money for iEmpathize. iEmpathize is an international organization that works to abolish child sex trafficking and exploitation. Child trafficking is when children are recruited through force, deception or kidnapping, and transported within their country or across borders in order to be exploited. United Nations Children’s Fund estimates that the number of children affected each year is around 1.2 million. The estimated total market value of illicit human trafficking is $32 billion. More information is available at their website: www.iempathize.org.

Denver Christmas Conference 2010

Greg, one of many students who experienced God's glory and saw life change, had this to say:

“I see God’s glory in my wounds and how God heals those wounds. I can rejoice in Him because I am washed white as snow through His death on the cross. I feel like God has restored my soul and ripped Satan’s grasp on my heart.”

Chaz Steele, from the University of Kansas, spent time completing seemingly miniscule tasks for a local children’s ministry. But, after spending time with a young boy there and hearing how he had recently accepted Christ into his life, Chaz was overwhelmed at the opportunity he had to serve there and bring glory to God through that experience.
